The seventh season of the Amazing World of Gumball to be distributed by Disney+, Hulu and Cartoon Network.
Worked on top of CG renders to provide bespoke backgrounds using a mix of painting and photo-bashing. Provided complex backgrounds with multiple lighting scenarios, props and moving elements to the comp department.
BGs started from 3D renders provided by Studio Soi - grade, lighting, textures and props painted on top by me. Before & after examples below.
Before and after: initial renders turned into final paintings.
Mattepaints based on storyboards created using a mix of painting, photography and textures.
